Hard Drive Data Recovery 300x225 Mac Users Now Have a Hard Drive Data Recovery Lineup Developed for ThemMac users now have a dedicated hard drive data recovery solution from Toshiba who announced the new Canvio for Mac Portable Hard Drive lineup. The lineup includes three storage units that ship with 500GB, 750GB and 1TB storage capacities. The hard drive data recovery units not only look great, but come pre-loaded with backup software developed with the Mac user in mind. The price for the drives start at $99.99 for the 500GB model.
Toshiba made an announcement about the new products, in which it stated that “With consumers across the country constantly amassing more ‘digital valuables’ – from photos, videos, and favorite music to important personal documents – Toshiba is proud to offer Mac users the compact, easy-to-use Canvio for Mac Portable Hard Drive lineup. Continuing Toshiba’s commitment to make backing up and recovering data simple and easy, the new Canvio for Mac line provides Mac owners 500 gigabytes (GB1), 750GB, or one terabyte (TB) of storage space, with pre-loaded Mac-customized backup software”.

According to Toshiba, many users believe backing up their data is a complicated process, this is a reason why many users are ignorant to the importance of having their data backed up on another storage device.  With the new Canvio for Mac line, Toshiba decided to make the process a bit easier with its. The way it succeeded in doing this is by including a program that permits the creation of fully-customized backups, as well as synchronization, the software is called NTI Shadow 5 for Mac.

Mac users who will use the hard drive data recovery solution from Toshiba, will be able to back up specific folders, certain file types, or even perform a complete system backup and recovery of everything that is saved on their Mac. They would be able also to select different items can be merged and synchronized and another feature is the possibility to adjust the frequency of backups to different periods of time. According to Toshiba, password protection is also a key feature of the included software.

Although the hard drive has many benefits, aside from these, the design is also great, as the drives are compact and feature an anti-slip design for easy portability. The drives are USB-powered and also have an internal shock sensor and ramp loading technology to help protect data.
